Music to Lift the Heart: GMR & Croí fundraiser
It’s a new day, and it’s a new dawn for the Galway Music Residency and local Heart & Stroke Charity Croi, who come together for the first time to present a New Year Fundraising Concert – 'New Beginnings' on Thursday, 2 February at 7pm in Croí House, Newcastle, Galway. This special concert aims to raise awareness and funds for these two community-focused organisations.
The Galway Music Residency (GMR), with ConTempo Quartet at its heart, is dedicated to bringing music in its various forms to Galway audiences, new or established, young or old. Central to this are GMR’s community and educational programmes focused on engaging with listeners and musicians of all ages and backgrounds. This pursuit of serving the community makes a collaboration with Croí a natural synergy. Croí, west of Ireland Cardiac Foundation was established to support the development of cardiac services and facilities in the west of Ireland, with the mission to prevent disease, save lives and promote recovery and well-being in the community at its core. The two organisations are delighted to be working together on this fundraising event.
Focusing on the theme of 'New Beginnings', the ever popular ConTempo Quartet will perform a charming and varied programme looking at all things anew; from a new day, to a new season, to a new life in a foreign country.
Rejoicing in fresh starts and toasting the New Year, this unique event is supported by Rouge Restaurant who will serve canapés and beautiful French wine on arrival. Tea and coffee will be served to close a wonderful evening.
Tickets are €25 and can be purchased here or by calling Croí on 091 544310.
